Der renommierte Special Effect und Creature-Designer Patrick Tatopoulos (”Underworld”, “Underworld: Evolution”, “I’Robot”, “I am Legend”), der in den ersten beiden Filmen von 2003 und 2006 bereits die Kreaturen schuf, übernahm diesmal die Regie der neusten Folge dieser stylishen Vampir-Trilogie. Produziert wurde der Film u.a. von Underworld Alt-Meister Len Wiseman (”Underworld: Evolution”, “Underworld”).
