Rhona Mitra news, pics and movies!
The film has received mostly positive reviews so far. In my opinion it is precisely what the first 2 films should have been – a tooth and nail battle between werewolves and vampires, which contains a lot of the folklore from both legends.
Where the first 2 films both failed was the fact that as soon as a battle commences, people start pulling out Uzis/Tech 9s and the battle becomes the usual cliched gun fest. If I wanted to see a gunfest I could go catch the latest diehard. With the premise of vampires battling werewolves in place everyone wants to see real gritty battles between between the two races, not boring gunplay. This is were Underworld 3 will really deliver, and with Rhona Mitra at the helm, it is very exciting.
From the interview:
MediaBlvd: How did you train and prepare physically for this role?
Rhona> I had done intensive training for Doomsday, and I’m already very athletic anyway. I do a lot of horse riding and rock climbing, so I’m already disposed, in that way. But, Doomsday really prepared me for this. I could pretty much put on my corset, my fangs and my eyes, and slip into the role pretty easily. The only thing I had to think about was how I would maneuver everything with the corset, the fangs and the eyes because that impairs your visibility and your function. Otherwise, I had two months in South Africa, before Doomsday, that was just me by myself with stuntmen going for it, so I can kick some ass.
Rhona Mitra says she would be very interested in playing the role of Catwoman in the next Batman film! Rhona says: “I wouldn’t say no!” when asked by Sci Fi Wire if she’d accept a role as the feline felon.
The actress has been frequently mentioned as a potential Catwoman.
Mitra says: “Yeah, I’ve actually [heard that rumour] quite a bit,” she said. “I don’t know how those things get started and who says what and how that becomes information that’s out there circulating.”
She added: “I thought that Batman Begins was, far and away, as far as I’m concerned, the best Batman ever. I thought it was very true to the comic books and I think Christopher Nolan is just a genius.”
When asked by Sci Fi Wire what her reaction might be if she were approached by Nolan, she added: “Are you kidding me? I would be over the moon to be involved in something like that. I don’t know who wouldn’t. I just can’t imagine [it] being a reality. Would I accept? Of course!”
Rhona would make an INCREDIBLE Catwoman, we can only hope she gets the role!

Rhona mitra in fine form
It seems that Rhona Mitra is in incredibly fine form after training for her role in Underworld 3. Rhona says she was already very fit before training for the film began, however she is fitter still after training for the role.
Her training involved learning car skills and martial arts. Rhona says, “It was brutal. I trained for two months before shooting even started.
“I got to drive a Bentley around a race track and learned how to do 180 (degree) turns. It was awesome. I was pretty much re-enacting my childhood with two boys (brothers). And Underworld was kind of like learning a Janet Jackson dance move. After all of this, I thought, ‘OK, I could save a portion of the world.’”
Rhona Mitra as a super hero, now I like the sounds of that!
Another wallpaper upload, this time of Rhona from her appearance in Shooter. It’s a shame she didn’t get a larger role in this film!
I found this Rhona Mitra doomsday wallpaper in my travels, an essential download!
The release date for Underworld: Rise of the Lycans is quickly approaching, and Sony has released more TV spots for the film with more Rhona Mitra action!
Michael Sheen and Bill Nighy both appear in the film, giving Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, more credibility. But Rhona Mitra’s smoking hot figure will no doubt attract many cinema goers to the film. She certainly makes for an extremely hot vampire, I can’t wait for the film!
