Subscribe, Not my production They’re making another Underworld movie?! That was my first reaction, too. Here it is – the first trailer for Underworld: Rise of the Lycans starring Rhona Mitra, Michael Sheen, and Bill Nighy for a third time. For this sequel they’ve gone back in time, to tell the origin of the centuries-old feud between the the race of aristocratic vampires known as Death Dealers, and their onetime slaves, the Lycans. This looks like the most common and un-entertaining cinematic story I’ve seen in a while, reminiscent of the Alien vs Predator movies (yes, both of them). This will find an audience and some people may enjoy it, but it looks a bit too excessive for even my own tastes. Take a look for yourself – only if you are one hell of an Underworld fan.

The third movie in the Underworld series. This prequel takes place before the first Underworld movie. In theaters January of 2009. The prequel story traces the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires known as Death Dealers and their onetime slaves, the Lycans. In the Dark Ages, a young Lycan named Lucian emerges as a powerful leader who rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor, the cruel vampire king who has enslaved them. Lucian is joined by his secret lover, Sonja, in his battle against the Death Dealer army and his struggle for Lycan freedom.
